German Film Week

German Film Festival in Cuba. Every year in June, the Cinemateca de Cuba, in coordination with the German Embassy in Cuba and the Goethe Institute, holds a German Film Week in Havana.

This event has allowed Cuban spectators to watch many films that have made up, as a whole, a comprehensive panorama of German cinema.

"It was in 1995 when for the first time we did a German film showcase at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema and from that year on we do that film showcase in December and also one in the summer around this date, to have two important events with recent films. We always try to make sure they are the latest on the market to bring them to the Cuban spectator who has really become a friend of German cinema."
